  • To maximise success for customers and partners, Cisco has introduced the mentor program to provide guidance and assistance for authorised Cisco ACI Customers and Partners.
  • ACI will represent a new skill set for most networking professionals. The program acts as a transition mechanism and pathway for skill growth of internal resources.
  • A mentored engagement for first-time ACI deployments is highly recommended by Cisco.
  • Housley is the only Cisco-approved mentor for APJ outside of Cisco Advanced Services.

  • Housley will interact with the customer/partner to support the deployment of ACI
  • The customer/partner will retain control of the project/engagement

Partner Pre-Planning

The Channel Partner should ensure that all necessary equipment is racked, stacked, cabled, and powered-up prior to the kick-off. The customer should have the necessary software licenses.

Service Deliverables

Cisco Nexus Dashboard Installation

  • Install the latest Nexus Dashboard software onto Cisco
    Service Engine (SE)
    • Onboard the required ACI/NXOS fabrics for analysis
    • Verify Nexus Dashboard cluster health and reachability to
    controllers (APIC, DCNM, AppD controller)
    • Install Network Assurance and Nexus Insight Application
    • Verify data collection by Network Assurance and Nexus
    Insight
    • Configuration of ACI/NXOS fabric to support the installation
    of Nexus Dashboard

Post Installation Training

  • Remote half-day training session to key staff
  • ND Solution and product overview
  • Telemetry Overview
  • Network Dashboard Insights setup and operations

Ongoing Deliverables

  • First month (from installation date)
    • Provide identification and interpretation of  top smart events weekly via email
    • Provide weekly fabric analysis report to customer on up to 4 events with remediation recommendations
    • Provide weekly WebEx meetings for operational knowledge transfer and review
  • Second and third month
    • Provide identification and interpretation of up to 10 ND top smart events weekly via email
    • Provide weekly fabric analysis report to customer on up to 4 events with remediation recommendations
    • Provide bi-weekly WebEx meetings for operational knowledge transfer and review
  • End of project
    • Provide customized operational knowledge transfer full day workshop
    • Assist customer in creating customized operational playbook
